On our recent visit back to Texas we had the privilege to return to the place where I spent two decades teaching and working, and where our daughter's educational journey unfolded. Debra and I stepped back into the familiar halls of Oakridge, receiving a warm welcome that echoed the cherished memories and connections built over the years.
The Oakridge School has been more than just an institution; it's been a second home for our family. Stepping onto the familiar grounds brought an immediate rush of nostalgia – the classrooms where lessons unfolded, the hallways where friendships blossomed, and the fields where countless memories were made.
The warmth of the Oakridge community welcomed us back with open arms. Reconnecting with former colleagues, students, and parents felt like coming back to an extended family.
