One of the highlights of the day was meeting the lions and tigers. These powerful creatures, often misunderstood or feared, are stunning up close. We were fortunate to be able to pet a few of the younger lions and witness the care and trust they have with the handlers. It was almost surreal to be standing just a few feet away from these magnificent creatures, who are so often associated with wild savannahs and open plains. The opportunity to take a walk with a cheetah—feeling its smooth, powerful strides alongside you—was something we’ll never forget. Perhaps one of the most heartwarming moments came when we met the primates: monkeys, apes, and even some adorable anteaters.
