Celebrating our Success

Congratulations on the end of a wonderful year! I am extremely proud of the outstanding accomplishments in academics, the arts, athletics, faith formation, and the many personal achievements I have had the fortune to witness over the course of this year.

There has never been a better time to be an All Saints Trojan! This year we have received some major commendations from the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest, education thought leader Grant Lichtman, and we were recently named the 2018 Lausanne Learning Spotlight School for Innovation.

I wanted to share just a few of the amazing highlights of the year as we celebrate the success of our school and enjoy the attention we are receiving for being a school making a difference. As a school of inquiry, innovation, and impact, we have designed programs and spaces that allow students to explore their questions, passions, and interests in hands-on, experiential learning environments as we continue to Inspire, Innovate, Engage, and Ensure the success of our school for years to come.

Inspire

  • 43 1st Division ratings at TAPPS Solo and Ensemble for US band and choir students (Band 2nd in State, Drumline 3rd in State)

  • 5 National Merit Scholars (74 in the last 16 years)

  • 61 Intermediate and Middle School students qualified for Duke TIP this year

  • Baseball and Basketball - 4 straight district championships with baseball semi-finalists, Boys and Girls Tennis runners-up at state, football semi-finalists, volleyball district champions, 6 (11%) of our Class of 2018 will be competing in collegiate sports

  • 13 Debate students qualified to Nationals, 5 students advanced to top 16, 2 All Saints students finished as TAPPS State co-champions, and Best Attorney in the State

Innovate

  • 9 new courses were offered in Upper School for the 2017 - 2018 academic year (Plans for 11 new courses in 2018 – 2019)

  • 25,000 views - Broadcast Media students were most viewed high school in nation on Fusfoo with over 100 videos, 41 Nationally Recognized

  • 500 hours - Entrepreneur E-Cafe had over $12,500 in total revenue

  • 25 Blended Learning classes taken from Mandurian Chinese to Digital Arts

  • Fabrication students completed dozens of personal projects and several meaning community projects

  • The Virtual Reality Room has helped share the vision with numerous schools and businesses. A student created Virtual Tour of the School was created.

  • Odyssey of the Mind - 2 Qualified for State, 1 Qualified for World Finals, placing 17 in the World!

  • The Learning Farm is the Largest School Learning Farm in Texas, offering students authentic learning from egg sales to farm-to-table nutrition every day in the Garden of Eat’n.

Engage

  • Representatives from over 65 schools and businesses visited campus this year.

  • All Saints recognized as “Featured Innovator” at CASA Justice is Served Event

  • 2 students voted to the Board of Directors for East Texas Christian Women’s Job Corps

  • Only school to participate in Habitat for Humanity Playhouses in the Plaza

  • 13,000+Serving Learning Hours – Promise Academy, St. Paul’s Children Home, and Kolor Run

Ensure

  • We have the highest Retention Rate in over five years, at over 92%

  • 26 Seniors were members of Alpha and Omega (Starting in 1st grade or before)

  • We have record new student enrollment, up 38% from this time last year.

  • We have raised $4.5 million of $6 million for the “Honor Our Past Imagine Our Future” campaign. The impact from Phases I and II have been immense and this summer’s work will be remarkable with the new IS/MS STEM Robotics Lab, the Outdoor Learning Center, the Campus new entrance, and security enhancements.

  • The Class of 2018 received Merit Based College Scholarships in excess of $5.9 Million to some of the finest colleges and universities across the world.

  • 1600 hours of professional development for faculty with Last Friday Learning Days and Conferences

  • We have several new faculty members that are bringing incredible experience, enthusiasm and passion for our vision.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family and share in the memories of this amazing school journey. It has been an honor to have shared in so many wonderful successes. I thank you all for the support and encouragement as we strive to continue to Inspire, Innovate, Engage, and Ensure that All Saints Episcopal School is the very best!
