Discovering Aqaba

Embarking on my first trip to Aqaba, Jordan was an adventure filled with diverse experiences, cultural encounters and fun with new friends. This coastal city, nestled at the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba is captivating with its rich history, stunning landscapes, and beautiful beaches.

Camels on the Car Ride from NEOM: As we journeyed towards Aqaba from NEOM, the breathtaking landscapes of Jordan unfolded before us. The drive itself was an exhilarating experience, but what truly amazed me was the encounter with camels along the way. These majestic creatures gracefully roamed the arid desert, adding a touch of authenticity and wonder to the journey. The sight of camels striding alongside our car created a surreal atmosphere, leaving us in awe of the desert's beauty and the coexistence of nature and modernity.

Luxotel Diving Hotel: Upon reaching Aqaba, we checked into the Luxotel Resort, a haven for diving enthusiasts and beach lovers alike. Nestled along the Red Sea, this luxurious retreat provided us with unparalleled views of crystal-clear turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs. The Luxetol, is the home of the Royal Diving Club. It has a rich history being built by the Jordanian King for special guests for diving adventures. The hotel's exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and world-class amenities made our stay truly unforgettable. It was nice to get away and enjoy a truly beautiful paradise. I snorkeled, enjoyed great dining, and a few drinks.

Coronation Street: A Taste of British Hospitality: Amidst the cultural tapestry of Aqaba, we stumbled upon a hidden gem— Rover's Return

a "proper" British pub modeled after the beloved soap opera Coronation Street. The quaint pub exuded an unmistakably British charm, from its authentic decor to its warm and inviting ambiance. We gathered with colleagues and relished in the opportunity to enjoy a pint of Guinness and indulge in the smoothness of Bailey's Irish Cream. This unexpected encounter with a touch of British nostalgia added a delightful twist to our Aqaba adventure, further highlighting the city's cosmopolitan flair.
